#### What is the Problem Fit Scan?

The Problem Fit Scan is a short, adaptive questionnaire that reflects your own problem back to you. It estimates whether the problem looks genuinely complex, how urgent it is, and whether SQT is a sensible partner for solving it. It takes three to four minutes and asks nothing technical.

#### How does the scan work?

You answer five short stages: what you are trying to improve, how the problem behaves as it grows, what it costs you today, how you currently solve it, and how ready your organization is to act. Later questions adapt to your earlier answers, so you are never asked something the scan can already infer.

#### What can the scan conclude?

It returns one of six directions: Strong Exploration Candidate, Understand the Problem First, Build the Case First, Solve the Simpler Problem First, Probably Not an SQT Problem, or Complex Problem — Different Expertise May Be Required. Two of those six recommend that you do not work with SQT, because a hard problem is not automatically an SQT problem.

#### What makes a problem computationally complex?

Complexity appears when the number of possible answers grows far faster than the number of variables. Common signals: adding one more variable sharply increases how hard it is to plan, several objectives conflict, uncertainty materially changes the right decision, or your team accepts a “good enough” answer because finding a better one costs too much time.

#### Does a complex problem mean I need quantum computing?

No. Most complex problems are best solved with classical optimization, simulation, a better formulation or an operational fix. SQT establishes a baseline first and lets the evidence decide the method. Quantum is allowed to lose.

#### What the scan is not

It is not a technical diagnosis, a scientific score, a feasibility study or a guarantee of results. It is a directional assessment based on your answers, meant to help you decide whether a deeper conversation is worth having.
